The crude oil used in the refinery will be provided by Middle Eastern suppliers, sources reported.Jiang Jiemin, general manager of CNPC, the parent of PetroChina<601857><0857><PTR>, said that CNPC and the Henan municipal government will finalize the refinery’s specific location in June and will submit a joint application to the National Development and Reform Commission in September.Jiang added that the refinery will sell refined oil mainly to Henan, Shandong, Jiangsu and Anhui Provinces. However, the timeframe for and estimated investment in the refinery’s construction are not yet decided. An insider said the gasoline and diesel oil output of the new refinery will total 6 million tons a year, while CNPC currently supplies about 2 million tons of gasoline and diesel oil to Henan Province. In Henan Province, Sinopec<600028><0386><SNP> has a refinery in Luoyang City that has refining capacity of 160,000 barrels a day.
